Baton ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Baton mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect very limited information for the sole purpose of providing the service's functionality. This includes:

• Display Name: A name you choose to identify yourself within a race team.
• Pace Data: Running pace information you enter or that is calculated based on your timing.

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or any other sensitive personal information.

2. Data Sharing and Visibility

Baton is a collaborative timing app. By using the app, you acknowledge that:

• Other participants in the same race team (those who have the specific invite code) will be able to see your Display Name and Pace.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not share your data with advertisers.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase. While we strive to protect your information, we do not promise that the data you enter is secure or private. The data collected is non-sensitive in nature and is intended to be shared with other users in your race group. We do not implement any special measures to ensure it is not shared beyond your group by other users.

4. Children's Privacy

Our app does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

5. Account and Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and any associated personal data at any time. You can do this in two ways:

• In-App Deletion: Go to the Profile screen within the Baton app and select "Delete Account" in the Danger Zone. This will immediately and permanently delete your profile and all associated data from our systems.
• Contact Request: You may also request account and data deletion by emailing us at batonraceapp@gmail.com. We will process your request within 48 hours.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
